Why won’t my Wii remote fit into my Guitar Hero III controller?

I just got Guitar Hero III and I can’t get my Wii remote to fit into the guitar face. It just hangs off the front of the guitar. Is there a special, thinner Wii remote that fits into the face plate? I’m confused!

    I own guitar hero 3 for wii so take it from me.
    You need to connect the plug first, then put the Wii remote in front way first then flatten it, after that put the strap in the area that is left. If you still need more help, or if I wasn’t thorough enough plz e-mail me for a step- by -step tutorial.

    Heh, I also had the same problem… there’s a cover on the back of the guitar you need to open, instead of putting it in through the front.

    open the back of the guitar. the remote does not go in the front.
