    beat him in career mode.

    You have to use Career Mode and then beat him in the guitar battle against him.
    When you beat him, he is unlcoked and you buy him in the store under characters.
    I think you battle him in the fourth or fifth venue.

    You have to beat him in carer mode the buy him in the shop

    You need to face him after a series of songs and beat him, and then buy him at the shop.
