i have rock band (PS2) and might get guitar hero III. so will my rock band guitar work for guitar hero; so i can battle my friends?

I can’t seem to get it to work. Every time, it registers the guitar as a regular controller for the microphone instead of a guitar.

I want to play coop using two keyboards but when i plug in both my keyboards they aren’t detected separately. So I want to be able to change the keys on my second keyboard but guitar hero wont let me.
